Small Steps Summary

n148048[1]Two years after spending an extended period at Camp Green Lake, Armpit is trying to tun his crime life around and will try to become a better citizen while living in Austin Texas. Armpit is doing well in school and has a job digging holes this time for money. Armpit is doing well until his mischievous friend X-Ray comes and turnes his life around again. X-Ray told Armpit that he could make more money then he has, by selling concert tickets to KairaDe leon’s concert. And then the adventure begins with the book Small Steps.

I would recommend this book to people who have read the book Holes and want more, or people who love to read mystory books with a slight slash of action because this book fits both requirements.

“The Ghost of Windy Hill in 1851”

de8881e8ae73c22593634514c77434d414f4541[1]The Giddings arrived in a sweet-n-quiet state corner of Boston to find the original “ghost-busters” the Carvers (Mr. Carver , Ms. Carver, Jamie and Lorna.) they , the Giddings have a “ghost” problem. So off they ,the carvers go,to the ”haunted farm house” to rid the house of  the ”ghost”.

After the Carvers stay there for a month they find no  ghost.  After  the Giddings return to the haunted farmhouse  Ms.Giddings admits something that changed how the Carvers saw the house forever.

I would recommend this book because well….its a great book and I would say if you like awesome, old,  short little books read this book, you will like it……hopefully.  There’s the right amount of scariness, sadness  everything, just read it, and you WILL like it………….hopefully.

My Life in Dog Years

Right now we are reading a book called “My Life in Dog Years” and so far I really like it!

It’s not set up like most chapter books, every chapter is a new story about a different dog.  We haven’t gotten so far into it yet, but so far I can tell that it’s going to be a really good book!

I would recommend this book to anybody who likes dogs.  (or any other kind of pet)

THURSDAY ROUND UP -science

In science this week we learned about the uses of testing  pH, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity in a pond.  We found out the following:

  • A scientist would test dissolved oxygen to see how “healthy” a body of water is for animals and plants.(It’s their “air,” they need it to breath!)
  • A scientist would test turbidity to find out how ” clean” the body of water is.
  • A scientist would test pH to determine if the water is from acidic to basic or some where on the scale and what kind of life can be found there.

Please leave a comment if you know more about one of these subjects or have a question.
