Water Consumption

While writing about all the stuff that goes into complaints, I thought about this: Did you know that, in all, 1,875 gallons go into onepound of beef?  (Including watering the cow, the water in the food ect.)  570 for pork, 469 for chicken, 1,382 for sausage, 589 for processed cheese, 400 for eggs, 371 for fresh cheese, 138 for yogurt, 2,900 for one pair of blue jeans,  2,800 for one cotton bed sheet, 766 for one cotton t-shirt.

Advice to Baby

  1. You’re treated like a Holy Grail now … it won’t always be that way, bask in the pampering while it lasts.
  2. When you wake up hungry at 3 0’clock in the morning, try not to wake your parents- it will be easier on them.
  3. Be inquisitive, try to figure things out and explore.  CAUTION! Do this only when it does not conflict with any other piece of advice.
  4. Learn to smile and giggle as soon as possible, the world will be yours.
  5. If you really want to freak out your parents, hold your breath while you take a nap.  You will get loved extra after they figure out your okay.
  6. Stay away from crunchy foods until you get teeth.
  7. Explore the world with senses other than taste.  You’ll probably be better of.  (Just because it tastes good dosn’t mean it is good.)
  8. Be nice to your sibling.  They’ll be more likely to push you on the swing.  (Rather than out of it.)
  9. Baby food is yucky!  Stay away from it.(If needed, spit it up all over your parents to make your point.)
  10. Just because your sibling does it does not make it a good idea.

Ever Breath Review

Join Truman and his twin sister Camille on a enchanting mission to save two worlds bent on each other for survival. the Breath world is parallel world to ours were mythical creatures roam free, some creatures Truman and his twin encounter strange things like fire breathers, and unicorns.  Truman and Camille will find that saving the worlds will be harder than they first thought.  the book, THE EVER BREATH, ends with a stunning passage:

The girls eyes fluttered open, and for a moment she looked surprised, almost happy.  But than her face tightened into an angry, vengeful glare.  Milta was very much alive.

The book was not the page turner I was looking for,  but don’t get me wrong was good but not quite what I was looking for the plot was right there looking at me the whole time not as hidden as I thought it could be.  This book is good to read to a class and I would say you should read it to see if its good for you .  I recommend this book for kids 8-12.

Ever Breath Review

Twins Truman and Camille aqre shipped off to their eccentric grandmothers house after the mysterious disapearance of their father.  There, they learn of a world apart from our own, a world of magic and fantastic creatures- the Breath World.  But the Ever Breath, a magical amber orb that binds the two worlds together has been stolen and now they are in danger of destruction.

The Ever Breath Summary/Reveiw from a Readers Perspective

When Truman and his twin sister Camille, Children of Cragmeal ,discover they are decent of the Breath World they are sent to restore the magical balance of imagination and mystery, by retrieving a round “amber orb” ( Ever Breath)from the clutches of evil. It will take many courageous people and creatures from small mice to gigantic ogers, to not only save the Ever Breath but to save us all.

Julianna Baggott is good at writing very discriptive and intruiging books, but I felt this one didn’t really satisfy readers the way I wanted it to. For example I like books that go more in depth with the characters, because I like when I can feel for the characters.   Like in Harry Potter I was always able to put myself in his shoes, especially in the last one, because it was a very emotional book.  In conclusion I say The Ever Breath is not at all what I expected, a very imaginative book.

The Ever Breath Review

Join Julianna Baggott on a trip to save two worlds with one stone called the Ever Breath. Meet some unheard of creatures that walk among the breath world.

The Ever Breath is an amber orb that maintains the balance between the imaginative world and our world.

It was a very slow page turner. The plot is obvious even before you get to the climax. There were a lot of features that didn’t seem to tie in to the main plot line. Overall it was an o.k. book and I would recommend it to a teacher to read out loud to a class.

Ever Breath Review

ever-breath-240ch010710[1]Julianna Baggott takes you to a world where bloodbetakers prowl and firebreathers glide, this is no doubt an imaginative world from an imaginative mind.

Truman and his twin sister Camille are sent to their grandmother’s house and come across having to embark on a mission to restore the Ever Breath to it’s rightful place in the wine cellar. If Truman and Camille don’t fulfill their mission, both worlds will collapse and all living creatures will vanish.

We thought and corroborated on our review of this book. We thought that this story was very well constructed but we didn’t think that it was as engaging as it could have been. The characters in this book weren’t as intriguing as characters in other books such as “The Spiderwick Chronicles”. But for all you fantasy/adventure readers this might be the page-turner for you.

Ever Breath Review

This story of  Julianna Baggott’s imagination is an intriguing tale of  “two kids saving two worlds.”

When the Ever Breath, (an amber orb that maintains the balance between between two worlds -the breath world and our world-) goes missing,  One of the kids, Truman,  goes on a quest to the breath world to try to save the two worlds, meanwhile, his sister Camille follows him to the Breath World and they also go on a quest to find their father, the king of the Jarkmen.  In the Breath World they meet  fairies, ogres, vultures, unicorns, fire breathers and   -they meet friends, and enemies-

                                                                                              “review”

I thought, overall, although this book is an intriguing adventure, it was slow moving .  It took a good amount of time to get to the climax, I would recommend to read it in the winter and to people ages 8-13
